Chapter II Premiers Pas

You are about to experience a unique augmented reality game! The DRAKERZ-Confrontation arena is your webcam’s field of view, which constitutes your game space.

Preparing the game space

It will only take a few seconds to prepare this area:

Is the surface area of the game space roughly the size of two 8 x 12 frames? Is your game space free of any unnecessary objects? Is your keyboard handy and out of the webcam’s field of view? Is the game space free of overly bright reflections? Have your prepared your PREMIUM Deck?

Ensure that your lighting is neither too bright nor too dim. If necessary, adjust the exposure setting of your webcam through the game’s "video options" menu (options vidéos).

Espace de Jeu

Check that the camera angle is not too high (pointing above eye level). Ideally, you should position your webcam at a height of 16 to 17 inches, with a 40 degree field of view.
You may adjust your camera settings at any time by pressing "Esc" on your keyboard and going to the "video options" menu.

Various settings can be accessed via the automatic updater in order to configure the game to match your computer’s specifications. If you meet only the minimal specifications, make sure to select "low" in your profile settings as this uses the fewest system resources.

Main screen

Through this screen, you can chat with other players and your friends, or launch a duel.

Moving your Drako

Move your Drako by moving your summoning card on the playing area.

To facilitate the recognition of cards, perform the calibration tutorial at the first launch of the game.

Making friends

You will inevitably meet other players with whom you share interests, people to whom you’d like to talk outside duels, in the forum, or in chat. These are the people you will think of first when you are considering exchanging one or more cards...
In short, you will make friends!

You can see all the friends you have made in your friend list. Once you have added a friend, this list will show you if he or she is logged in. Using your contacts list, you can easily talk to your friends and invite them to a duel.
